DROWNING POOL’S “RESILIENCE” COVER ART :: The Technical Process

004

This past Wednesday I was the guest on Scott Kelby’s Photoshop Insider blog, discussing the album art I shot for Drowning Pool’s new album, “Resilience” on Eleven Seven Music. While the blog post and correlating video did touch on some of the technical details of the artwork, I primarily spoke to the thought process involved with creating the work. With that being said, I had a few requests to talk a little more in-depth about the post-production on these images. I put together two videos (below) as a sorta ‘walk-through’ from two of the shots!

You can check out my guest post on Scott Kelby’s blog HERE.

awesome video and even more awesome results! Thanks so much for posting this run through, I’ve done a few band cover shoots but have kept it fairly simple so far, this has really inspired me to approach things with a lot more depth (see what I did there) and to try and challenge myself much more.

thanks again Mr Jackson I shall now be stalking you through the wonders of social media!

Thanks Dave, I now have a new appreciation for my work. I try to learn as much as I can, and now I set my goal to learn HDR and effects.. do you have workshops on this?
