This summer, Jackson & Co. teamed up with Daily Planet from Chicago to create a captivating video and portrait series at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino in Carter, WI, honoring Native American dancers in their stunning, handmade regalia. Filmed before their participation in the 2024 Hunting Moon Pow Wow competition, the series celebrates the craftsmanship and cultural pride embodied in each dancer.
Throughout October, the videos were displayed at Potawatomi Hotel & Casino and the Baird Center in Milwaukee, aligning with Indigenous Peoples’ Day celebrations. The screens brought the dancers’ powerful movements to life, allowing patrons to connect with the rich symbolism of these traditions.
CEO Dominic Ortiz highlighted that Indigenous Peoples’ Day is about more than tradition—it also recognizes the diverse roles Indigenous people play in society. “We are business leaders, lawyers, doctors, and content creators,” Ortiz stated. This collaboration with Jackson & Co. and Daily Planet showcased both the dancers’ artistry and their broader contributions to the community.
